Nackgammon
A deeper opening with extra back checkers and standard backgammon rules.
Lessons in this path
- 1 Nackgammon opening pressure Nackgammon uses standard backgammon movement, hitting, cube, and scoring. The difference is the opening: each side has extra back checkers.
- 2 Nackgammon escape timing Nackgammon starts with extra back checkers. That makes early escape and anchor timing more important than in a normal opening.
- 3 Nackgammon contact and hits Nackgammon changes the starting layout, not hitting. A lone opposing checker is still a blot, and landing on it still sends it to the bar.
- 4 Nackgammon bear-off finish Once Nackgammon reaches the bear-off, the exact-die and oversized-die rules are the same as standard backgammon.
