Multi-jump

If a capture lands on a square where another capture is available, the same piece must keep jumping.

This is the written edition of an interactive Boardgammon lesson — in the app, the coach narrates while you play every move on a live board.

Step 2 · Jump twice

On the board: Chain

This dark man has a two-capture chain. The turn is not done after the first jump.

Tap the highlighted dark piece, then tap the square marked Finish. Both jumps happen in one move.

The move: 9x18x27

Good. Both captures are part of one turn.

Common mistake: Tap the dark piece first, then tap the final landing square. The turn is not over until both jumps are made.

Step 3 · One turn, full chain

A multi-jump is still one turn. The same piece keeps moving until no further capture is available from its landing square.
