Rolling 1-1 — less destructive than it sounds, since it grants four moves of 1.

How it works in play

Double 1s look feeble, but 1-1 is played four times and can make two points at once. From the starting position the standard play is 8/7(2) 6/5(2), making the bar point and the 5-point together.

  • Doubles — Rolling the same number on both dice (e.g. 4-4); the number is played four times.
  • Roll — The two dice numbers thrown on a turn.
  • Golden point — The 5-point (offense) — or the 20-point as the defensive "golden anchor."
  • Bar point — The 7-point. After the 5-point, the second-most-valuable offensive point.
